About
Born in 1984 in Wismar, Germany Dörte Kamarid is an inspired researcher,
translator and interpreter in various fields of knowledge such as Tibetology,
Buddhist Studies and Indian Philosophy.
Her passion for languages, culture studies and philosophy
brought her to study in different countries in Europe and Asia.
In 2013 she graduated from Vienna University after completing the MA course in Tibetology.
Beside a longer study and research related stay in India,
Nepal and Japan, she is presently based in Tokyo at the International College
for Postgraduate Buddhist Studies, Tokyo from were she received the Doctorial
Degree in Buddhist Studies in March 2024.
She engages in translation work and related projects with
upcoming papers, that are being worked on.
